One of a series of paintings based upon the new old and derelict boats to be found in the port of Bideford. This painting portrays a section of one of the largest vessels to come to Bideford and is connected to the export of clay.

My love of ships reflects my upbringing in Liverpool and the emotive bustle of a busy port. The old ships also typify those to be found in many West Country ports and harbours recording and reflecting the activities of those ports.
